Laura Kate Sutton

ABOUT

Laura Kate Sutton (1996. London) graduated with a First from Chelsea College of Arts before studying at the Royal Drawing School. Her work consists of a mixture of mediums, experimenting with a combination of language and image exploring philosophy and authenticity. Comedy and the absurd are integrated within her practice and literary creations alongside inescapable duration, abundance of time and repetition. Since finishing her degree, drawing has become a focus in her practice as a tool to navigate her narratives and anxieties. Her drawings playfully focus on humour in alienation and societal obsession with youth. She won the Paragon Printing Press Prize in 2023 and her work and writings have been collected by the Royal Collection, Sir Mike Mortiz and the Chelsea College of Arts Library.
